As we look into all of the available options to repeal the short sighted 24% tax, putting it to the very people who voted in our legal industry seems like a valid option to explore.  While ballot initiatives are not a cheap endeavor, the MI cannabis industry has something it never had prior to MRTMA; a distributed network of public interfacing retailers.  The intent of this poll is to gather information on the percent of customers who would be willing to sign a ballot initiative to repeal the 24% tax by giving them the opportunity to sign at either check-in or at the register.  Any retailers interested in participating are encouraged to email us at greenindustryassociation@gmail.com, and can download the form below.  The polling will take place through the month of April, and will be used to extrapolate the potential signatures for a future coordinated ballot initiative .  Participating retailers will be requested to provide total a customer counts for the month, and signatures will be collected by GIA at the end of the month.
